The clay soil of Julienas gives it a bouquet of cherries, peaches and strawberries, and the wine may be drunk young or aged a little in the best vintages. Size: 75cl

From vineyards on entirely garnitic soil, this wine has a minerally backbone supporting a velvet smooth palate with flavours of violets, rose petals and red berries. Size: 75cl

The weightiest and most long-lived of the crus, Moulin-a-Vent adds a spicier dimension to the typical rose petal and red fruit flavours of the Gamay grape, and can easily match heavier red meat dishes and strong cheeses. Size: 75cl
